Never have I been more excited to get a watch back in trade than I have with this piece, owing to its unique aesthetic and comfort.
Grey has never looked this good before: and there’s a variety of shades and textures to be had from bracelet to case to dial.
Behind the AR coated sapphire glass is a sea of contrasting greys, showcasing a short seconds hand that reaches the hour track and an orange tipped pointer that stays the course of contrast and minimalism.
The hour markers are quite legible and artistic, showcasing a unique dial layout as they echo the case shape that carries forward toward the date wheel in the same font.
The minute hand has a cutout aperture that serves as a window for the inner minute track.
The radially brushed bezel and mixture of brush and polish on the case provides a luxuriant feel to a rather curvaceous timepiece despite its square nature
The in house H1837 movement produced by Vaucher is still running strong at +3s/day
In an era where there is little innovation with watches, even sporty pieces, the H08 has shot right up to the top of the list as one of the watches I would highly recommend owning or at least trying.
This example is in rather excellent shape with very minor wear seen at some angles to portions of the bezel and near the lugs as well as the non crown case side, seen more definitively in pictures than in real life.
The bracelet has the most proof of being a wearable timepiece worthy of being a daily as evidenced by the wears signs, though nothing egregious for a titanium watch almost 5 years old.
Sized for my 7.3” wrist loose, the watch measures at 39mm x 46.2mm lug to lug, a 10.5mm thickness and a 21mm lug width.
The watch comes as a full set with double box, 1 extra full and half link, manual and warranty booklet and AM orange rubber strap
