Hey folks
Up for grabs is an El Primero I’ve yet to come across on the secondary market, which is odd given that this is likely one of the most unisex El Primero’s around.
At 39.5mm x 45.2mm x 13.1mm this is one of the slimmest and most compact wearing Chronomasters yet, perfect if you have smaller wrists, prefer a smaller footprint or just want to share a watch with your significant other
The Chronomaster Open was originally conceived with the hope that it would help a wider audience understand high-frequency watchmaking through the balance wheel's 10 beats/vibrations per second, a concept that has stayed in the Zenith Catalogue since the Nataf era of the brand.
The running second register at 9 o’clock has been replaced by a clear hesalite disc, while two other circles (overlapping like the registers) emerge from it to show the silicon escape wheel and the balance.
Previous versions of the Chronomaster Open lineup had the movement bridges decorated with perlage, however this time Zenith opted to finish the visible components with a three-dimensional concentric azzurage pattern that complements the other subdials; a minuscule but thoughtful attention to detail.
While pointless in principal, an open heart dial does provide about 80% of the satisfaction of a Tourbillon for 5% of the price.
Currently sized for my 7.3” wrist, there are 3 links in the bag
The watch is in overall excellent condition with minor hairlines to the polished bits common from microfibre cloth overuse.
The watch comes as a full kit with double box, manual, warranty card, stickers and hang tag
Retail is $14,700 + tax
I’m asking almost 50% off at $7750 shipped from the GTA
